Why are women still underrepresented at tablet presses? 🤔

Take a look at this photo.

Precision engineering.

And yet, if you walk through many formulation labs or pilot plants, one thing often stands out:

Tablet presses are more often operated by men.

We don’t keep exact statistics at our company, but the pattern is hard to ignore.

Which raises a simple but important question:

Why?

Tablet development is creative.

It’s experimental.

It combines chemistry, engineering, and problem-solving.

And honestly — it’s fun.

So what’s the barrier?

Is it perception?

Is it historical bias in process engineering roles?

Or could it be something as simple as the design of our tools and software not being as intuitive or inviting as they could be?

At KG Pharma we believe innovation also means asking uncomfortable questions.

We want to learn.

💬 If you work in pharma development or manufacturing:

Do you see the same imbalance?

What are the reasons in your experience?

What could companies like us do better?

Maybe the solution starts with listening.

Because tablet development should be exciting for everyone.

Let’s discuss. 👇
